A very interesting data update from Farm A this week, it shows about 2 weeks of data and includes a cow that is clearly struggling. Take a look at the pH and temperature data for cow 3989. Clearly something is amiss as pH levels climb to peaks of almost 7.0, also the drinking data also shows an increasing frequency of drinking over a similar period, a quote from eCow who took that data tells us more…’This cow doesn’t look well, she is skinny and not really active.’ We now look forward to the vets visit to learn more.

Cow 4494 shows a good trend as peaks of pH are reduced and we achieve a flatter pH profile through 24 hour periods, she’s also well above the threshold pH for a healthy rumen.
