Professor Toby Mottram will be presenting his inaugural lecture, entitled “Beyond Boutflour: Towards the 20,000 litre Average Cow”, this evening at the Royal Academy of Engineering, London. It will start at 6.30 pm with drinks and networking at 6 pm. The lecture will present a program of research as to how we can improve milk yields to 20,000 litres in healthy long-lived cows through improvements in management techniques. The systems described in the lecture will rely heavily on sensor based feedback control of all aspects of feeding, disease detection and animal management, of which eCow’s own eBolus is an example. For those who cannot attend the lecture in London, it will be repeated on Wednesday 23rd October in Cirencester. The lecture slides will be made available after the events.
