All over the world governments and companies are recording and archiving animal health data.  The data sits in warehouses unused even though it is vital to know  the disease status of regions and farms from which we buy livestock and food.  We founded Virtualvet to bring the data together so that we can make important data, particularly of infectious diseases, available. In Exeter VirtualVet with the European Centre for animal disease hosted a workshop with representatives of different organisations to discuss the issues we have found in making this happen.
