eCow extends our congratulations to RAU student Emily Mitchem who has won the Kingshay Trophy for the best dairy related dissertation prize for her feed trial work into the effects of nutritionally improved straw (NIS) on rumen pH and yields when fed as part of a total mixed ration. Emily was top student three years in a row and achieved a first class honours in her BSc in Agriculture with a specialisation in Livestock.

Emily used eCow boluses for her work for her dissertation and was able to watch rumen pH response to the NIS.

We wish her  all the best for her future career when she returns from her travels.
